The “Limiting Port” SFP+ assemblies are fully compliant with the SFF-8431 Revision 4.1 specification.



W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. (Landenberg, PA) has developed “Limiting Port” SFP+ assemblies that are fully compliant with the SFF-8431 Revision 4.1 specification, Chapter 3, specification for limiting modules. Features include:

  • GORE EYE-OPENER conductor technology that reduces jitter from 20 to 40 percent.
  • Available sizes of AWG 32 to AEG 24 and 2.10 to 5.50 mm.
  • Low loss, low dielectric constant ePTFE dielectric that reduces size.
  • Welded signal lines for controlled energy (less heat) and more robust connection.
  • Low loss PCB connector with RF/microwave material minimal dispersion that reduces jitter.
