Versatile Ink Jet System

The Excel 170i ink jet printer is designed for applications that require coding at high speeds on a variety of materials. The unit can print up to three lines of alphanumerics, bar codes, and custom graphics on virtually any substrate at uniform, variable, and intermittent production speeds. The fluid control system is said to reduce make-up fluid consumption and virtually eliminate hazardous waste disposal. With a single printhead, the Excel 170i provides single-, twin-, triple-line, or large-size printing. The device can serialize, automatically advance expiration dates, and print numbers and messages on any surface. These include porous, non-porous, smooth, curved, textured, and ribbed materials. Engineers can use Excel 170i SurePrint software to monitor and control ink viscosity and ensure clear and consistent print quality. The printer features a backlit display screen with simple prompts and an instantaneous LCD readout to ensure simple operation. A stainless steel, drip- and rust-resistant cabinet is included.
