Universal Pci Communication Card

The new PCI-1625U eight-port intelligent RS-232 universal PCI communication card features an onboard DSP processor, designed to take over the processing load from the host PC. The device’s 1 MB of SRAM can store serial data and effectively reduce host CPU loading. When the PCI-1625U initializes, it downloads the driver software into its onboard DSP. Features include a universal PCI connector compatible with the 3.3 V PCI bus and 5 V PCI bus as well as an ICOM Tools utility program. This program tests PCI card performance by analyzing port status. The menu commands and toolbar buttons of ICOM Tools act as a PC-based data scope that allows engineers to set a trigger condition, capture communications data, and monitor signal status. The PCI-1625U is built for industrial applications where a PC needs to communicate with terminals, modems, or other instruments. Engineers can install up to four PCI-1625U cards, for total of 32 ports, in any PCI bus-based PC. Pricing starts at $225.
