Ultrasonic Sensor

The Superprox Model SM900 Series of proximity sensors provides foreground and background suppression as part of its pushbutton, sensing window, teach set up. The sensor's microprocessor enables it to detect only those objects within the set sensing window and ignore objects outside the window.

With extremely short deadbands, the series offers a small, threaded housing for mounting convenience, pushbutton setup, and unique configurability for simple On/Off detection. To meet tight space requirements, the size combines with the deadbands of 51 mm and 120 mm to provide efficient proximity detection within sensing ranges up to 1 m and 2 m, respectively.

The sensors operate on 12 to 24 Vdc, and are capable of controlling various operations within the plant. They detect objects with round or irregular, non-perpendicular profiles, and can reliably sense objects moving at speeds up to 2,000 units per minute. These sensors are virtually unaffected by changing light conditions or colors, dirt and dust, splashing food, caustic cleaning solutions, frequent high-pressure wash downs, and non-condensing humidity.
