Thermoplastic Insert Coupling

The Servomax TX1 line of molded thermoplastic insert couplings is well suited for pump drive and servo applications. Features include a high level of chemical compatibility and tolerance for heat as well as low mass and moment of inertia. These plastic devices feature an elastomer element that is press fit between two precision-molded coupling halves. This design is said to result in zero backlash and guaranteed concentricity. Engineers can choose from among several shore values for the elastomer insert, based on the application’s desired damping effect. Built for a pure keyway connection, the couplings are bored to customer specifications. Shaft mounting is achieved via a keyway and a set screw. Sizes are available for torque capacities ranging from 2 Nm (17.7 lbs/in.) to 660 Nm (5,841 lbs/in.) and bore diameters from 8 to 45 mm and 0.375 to 1.75 in.
