PTC thermistors are used as heating elements, filling level sensors and current limiters.

TDK-EPC (Iselin, NJ), a group company of the TDK Corporation, is presenting three new sample kits of ceramic PTC thermistors from EPCOS:

Sample kit “SMD PTC Thermistors for Limit Temperature Sensing/Superior Series”, which features:

  • Components  designed for use as temperature sensors, such as in LED lamps, power supplies, and notebooks.
  • Available sizes for 0402, 0603, and 0805.
  • A temperature range between 75º and 145 °C in steps of 10 K.
  • Thermistors that are certified to AEC-Q200 and are suitable for reflow and wave soldering.

Sample kit “SMD PTC Thermistors for Overcurrent Protection” that features:

  • Components for surge current protection applications.
  • Self-resetting fuses and as such limit currents to uncritical values in the event of overload or short circuit.  T
  • Available in sizes of 0603, 1210, 3225 and 4032.

Sample kit “PTC Thermistors for Inrush Current Limiters” that features:
