
Models PG0067 and PG0077 are surface-mount inductor platforms for dc-to-dc converters and ac-to-dc switch-mode power supplies. They are designed for distributed power architecture and are suitable for voltage regulator modules. Product applications include high-current dc-to-dc converters, servers and workstations, telecom switches, routers, and base station equipment.
Both platforms use high-performance helical windings, which allow for low direct current resistance ratings, high thermal efficiency, and current ratings up to 33 amps direct current.
The 4-mm-high PG0067 and the 6.5-mm-high PG0077 meet strict size constraints and are compatible with all contemporary pick-and-place processes.
The PG0067 uses a discrete gap core that allows for extremely low core losses in high-ripple-current applications. Inductance values range from 0.27 micro henries at 17 A to 4.9 micro henries at 5 A. Its package size is 13 by 12.8 mm.
The PG0077 uses a distributed gap powder core that allows for stable inductance values even at two times the rated current. Inductance values range from 0.16 micro henries at 33 A to 2.65 micro henries at 13 A. Its package size is 14 by 13.5 mm.
