Standard re-programmable Memory Key and SlimLine Token products are built with enhanced materials that allow them to withstand Autoclave and ethylene oxide sterilization. The enhanced products have been tested to survive many cycles of autoclave sterilization (265°at 20 psi for 30 minutes) as well as the EtO sterilization process. This material is formulated to provide a less expensive product to Medical OEMs, while retaining the multiple-cycle sterilization capability previously only available with custom version tokens. Typical medical applications include “limit-use”, calibration data upload, firmware updates, data transfer, data logging, user authentication, and access control.
