The new MP98T fasteners offer a minimum tensile strength of 180 ksi.



SPS Technologies (Jenkintown, PA) offers fasteners manufactured from a superalloy designated SPS MP98T. This material exhibits a combination of strength, toughness and corrosion resistance not previously available in a fastener material. The new MP98T fasteners offer:

  • A minimum tensile strength of 180 ksi.
  • Typical fracture toughness values thatexceed 200 KSI ● in -1/2. MP98T fasteners' strength level.
  • Resistance to embrittlement in high-pressure hydrogen environments.
