New digital materials Virtual Studio+ allow users to accurately visualize a range of resins. Virtual Studio+ is a fully LWA-enabled add-on application for Solid Edge 3D CAD software, and is designed for the PLM market. In LWA format, these materials can be used to dynamically add shaders to the application. Engineers can use the software to accurately select, render, and specify materials from GE Plastics’ Visuallfx range. The resins they can select from include: marble, which incorporates flakes to create a soft and earthy patina; speckle, which offers a variety of color-on-color effects; and flame, which features 12 strong, bright colors to add to the fun, contemporary feel of a product.
