Overcomes Crosstalk Barrier

3M (Austin, TX) introduces the patented “virtual coaxial box” shielding technology that reduces crosstalk experiences at 1- to 1.5-Bbps, allowing the new Ultra Hard Metric (UHM) socket connector to operate at faster speeds. Features of the UHM include:

  • Pin-to-pin compatibility with 2 mm hard metric PCB footprints.
  • 7 Gbps per differential pair.
  • Intermateable to 2 mm hard-metric (IEC 61076-4-101) headers.
  • 5-row (A, B, CL, CR, AB) and 8- row (D, E, DE, FL, FR) form factors are available. In Supports 100 ohm differential pairs in rows or columns.
