Self-clinching Flush-head Studs

PEM self-clinching flush-head studs are built to be installed up to 50 percent closer to the edge of a metal sheet than standard self-clinching studs without causing the edge to bulge. The RoHS-compliant studs are said to feature a smaller fastener design than standard self-clinching studs, making them well suited for attachment applications where space for hardware is limited. PEM Type FHL (steel) and Type FHLS (stainless steel) flush-head studs mount permanently in aluminum or steel sheets as thin as 0.040 in./1 mm and provide strong, reliable, and reusable threads. A flush-head assembly is created upon installation, and the stud is securely locked into the sheet with high torque-out and pushout resistances. The only hardware required to complete component attachment is a mating nut. Engineers can choose thread sizes ranging from #2-56 to #10-32 and M2.5 through M5 as well as a variety of lengths.
