Rear-release Connectors

The GTC-M Series of rear-release connectors is suitable for applications that require heavy-duty connections including railway, mass transit, commercial, and geophysical uses.

The units are reverse bayonet-style connectors that incorporate hard dielectric inserts, rear insertion/rear release contacts, silicone grommets, and interfacial seals as well as metal clip contact retention. The metal clips used in the insert provide positive contact retention to levels equal to the MIL-C-5015 Series. Gold-plated crimp contacts are inserted in the rear of the connector with considerably less force than that required with conventional connectors with neoprene inserts.
