Programmable Thermostat

New 9700i-2 thermostats feature support plug-in cards that will enable communication with a network of wireless comfort and safety appliances in a home, such as water heaters, pool pumps, and smoke detectors. The thermostat acts as the message center and network collaborator for climate applications, providing homeowners with benefits such as easily identifying what appliances require maintenance, as well as simplifying programming and testing of appliances. These new models are based on the same menu-driven programming as the original i-Series, which is modeled on the interfaces for cell phones and automated teller machines. More intuitive menu options have been added to make it easier for homeowners to navigate and program the 9700i-2 thermostats. They also feature bilingual (English and Spanish) display flexibility.
