Power Encoder

Series HA/HR215 IS encoders meet the requirements for intrinsically safe applications containing flammable gases, vapors, liquids, combustible dust, or ignitable fibers when used with approved barriers. Industry standard dimensions, electrical outputs, and termination options give customers benefits in simpler system design, smaller space requirements, and a wider choice of operating parameters.

The encoders operate on 12 Vdc nominal power to the barrier, with guaranteed 5V outputs. There is no need for variable output power supply or adjustment of the input power to obtain correct 5 V output levels, resulting in a reduction of component costs and installation labor time.

The encoders are available with the full range of resolutions, square flange, or servo flange mounting, 1/4- or 3/8-in. shafts, open collector, or line driver outputs, and connector or cable exit termination.
