POSITAL's (Hamilton, NJ) MAGNETOCODE (MCD) absolute rotary encoders have always featured excellent reliability, accuracy, and adaptability. Now, a new hollow-shaft version of the MCD encoder makes it easy to mount these devices on shafts up to 20 mm in diameter. The new devices feature:

• Analog (voltage/current) or digital electrical interfaces.
• Measurement technology, which is based on a rotating magnet and a Hall-effect sensor. A flexible range-setting.
• An electrical output range of 0-5 volts.
• A self-powered rotation-counter (based on Wiegand wire technology) that records the number of rotations.
