Version 5 of a line of PLM 64-bit solutions are now able to run on AMD Opteron processor-based systems. The manufacturer has certified the HP xw9300 workstation and the IBM Intellistation A Pro 6217 workstation to run V5 PLM 64-bit solutions. This capability is said to provide engineers enhanced maximum product model size, high levels of possible product model detail and application performance, and access to AMDs processor technologies.
