Pilot-operated Models Take Direction From Sensors

The PD Series of pilot-operated hydraulic directional valves is available with built-in electronic Hall effect spool position sensors. The sensors produce a low-current output signal for an electronic control system or safety monitoring system to verify whether the valve is in a neutral or shifted position. This non-contact electronic sensor technology is designed to be economical and more reliable than traditional switches which can fail due to normal mechanical wear and direct contact with full hydraulic system pressures. The spool position sensor accepts supply voltages from 9 to 28 Vdc and supply currents up to 9 mA. Output can be sinking or sourcing at up to 25 mA.
