Two new permanent/strippable ultra-low-outgassing bonding tapes are designed to be electronically clean with improved adhesion. ARclean DEV-8968 and ARclean DEV-8969 have permanent adhesion on one side and a cleanly strippable adhesive on the other. The adhesive is exposed with the removal of either a clear or white polyester release liner. ARclean DEV-8968 has a 2-mil clear polyester film carrier and ARclean DEV-8969 has a 2-mil white polyester film carrier. The tapes can help eliminate contamination associated with adhesive residue. Because they are acrylic acid-free, they reduce media fogging and head corrosion.
