Thanks to its “roller and shoe” design, the Vector Series 3005 peristaltic pump is said to require less starting torque and create less abrasion than typical straight shoe designs. Features include a lubricant-filled cavity for constant lubrication, a low-maintenance design, heavy-duty roller bearings, and complete isolation of pumped fluid. The device is able to continuously pump harsh liquids at up to 200 psi. Engineers can choose from a wide range of configurations and flows. The pump can handle fluids with viscosity up to 100,000 cps, at temperatures up to 180°F (82°C), as well as solids up to 0.6 in. (15 mm) and fibers up to 4 in. (100 mm) in length. Without the need for cups, packings, and seals, the pump provides self-priming operation and is able to run dry without damage. The pump, which is built to be easier on motor/drive systems and provide increased hose life, is well suited for applications in a variety of industries, such as water and wastewater treatment, chemical and petrochemical processing, pulp and paper, ceramics, and mining.
