PEM panel fasteners feature threaded captive screws that have been engineered to install permanently into thin metal panels.



PEM panel fasteners from PennEngineering (Danboro, PA) is designed specifically for tool-only access applications provide fixed screw solutions for a new EC machinery directive imposing strict safety requirements for machine guarding and the ergonomics of operator equipment. Their captive screws conform with Machinery Directive  2006/42/EC, which relates to tool-only access fasteners and requires such fasteners to remain attached to fixed guards or machinery when guards are removed. Features include:

  • Threaded captive screws that have been engineered to install permanently into thin metal panels. 
  • Elimination of loose screws to promote speedier maintenance of machines.
  • UL-approved.
  • Available thread sizes range from #4-40 through ¼-20 and M3 through M6.
  • A standard anti cross-threading feature to protect from potential damage due to improper thread engagement.
