The 3G3MX2 AC Drives series offers an External Device Monitoring (EDM) output that confirms the safety status of the AC Drive.



Omron Industrial Automation (Schaumburg, IL) announces the Safety Certification for 3G3MX2 AC Drives, open loop control drives with built-in safety inputs and external device monitoring output that allows machine designers to integrate the drives into new or existing safety systems with less hardware and simpler wiring. The 3G3MX2 AC Drives series offers:

  • An array of advanced functionality including 200 percent at 0.5 Hz, positioning control, simple network configuration with built-in Modbus communications.
  • Safety embedded features that eliminate the requirement for a redundant dual contactor set-up at the output of the Drive.
  • A built-in safety function that is certified in accordance to EN60204-1 Stop Category 0 (Safe torque off).
  • Compliance to ISO 13849-1, Cat 3. 
  • An External Device Monitoring (EDM) output that confirms the safety status of the AC Drive.
