The new thinner model offers less steel in the coil shell and less copper in the windings.

The small spring applied brake series from Ogura (Somerset, NJ) (models MCNB 2, 5, and 10) have been redesigned and will now have a thinner profile. The brakes overall reduction in thickness is around 30 percent. The new thinner model offers:

  • Advances in friction material that allows the brakes to maintain their same torque rating while eliminating the need for higher force springs and a correspondently higher wattage coil.
  • Less steel in the coil shell and less copper in the windings.
  • A slight reduced diameter on some of the models.
  • Interchangeable models.
