Novotechnik's rod-style sensors feature a resolution of 5 µm with 1 µm resolution available as an option.

Novotechnik (Southborough, MA) introduces the TIM Series of non-contact linear position sensors. This family of rod-style sensors is designed for integration in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and features:

  • Available in stroke lengths from 50 to 2,500 mm.
  • Custom lengths are available for volume applications.
  • Operates under pressure up to 350 bar with peaks up to 530 bar.
  • Shock and vibration ratings are 100 g and 25 g respectively.
  • Repeatability is ±0.01 percent of full scale regardless of stroke length.
  • A resolution of 5 µm with 1 µm resolution available as an option.
  • Independent linearity is ≤0.04 percent of full scale.
