New Software Solvers

Femlab v2.3 incorporates new modules for structural mechanics, chemical engineering, and electromagnetics. The structural mechanics module has new applications for shells, beams and solids. The chemical engineering module enables the study of non-Newtonian fluids, compressible flow, and turbulence. The electromagnetics module, which offers new applications for opto-electronics and photonics, provides an environment for the simulation of wave propagation and ac-dc electromagnetics in 2D and 3D. Shown here is a magnetic field simulation of an inductor in a MEMS device. Pricing for a single-user license for Windows is $4,495. Unix and network licenses are available.
