Naval Simulation Software Tool

DDAM for Abaqus is an add-on customization tool for Abaqus FEA software. It supports the dynamic design analysis method (DDAM), which was developed by the U.S. Navy as an analytical procedure to help validate the design of shock-sensitive equipment and structures for naval applications. Advanced simulation for underwater explosion and other structural and acoustics analyses, such as the pump shown, have opened new approaches to the daunting simulation of shipboard shock response. DDAM for Abaqus is an interactive application that allows marine engineers to perform the DDAM using Abaqus software. The software provides DDAM-specific input forms through a graphical user interface as well as specialized DDAM output data.
