Multi-access Controller

PMAC-Pack packages a four-axis PMAC-Lite and 5 V and (12 V supplies in an industrial standalone configuration with simple interconnection. As standard, the PMAC-Pack provides four encoder inputs and four DAC outputs that may be used for control of up to four non-commutated axes, or two commutated axes.

The high processing speed of the standalone multi-axis controller is achieved by the 500 block-per-second execution rate. Servo system response is enhanced by the 50 millisecond per axis servo update rates achieved.

A four-axis expansion box, the ACC 24 EXP can be mounted next to the PMAC-Pack to provide an eight axis control capability including four additional encoder inputs and four additional DAC outputs. The PMAC-Pack features S curve acceleration and deceleration and time-base control for electronic cam, web handling, and coil winding applications.
