Midwest Motion Products (Watertown, MN) has announced the release of a new DC Gear Motor, with Integral Brake, the Model No. MMP-D22-376H-24V GP52-195 BR-005. Accepting any 24 Volt DC source, including battery power, this robust, ENCODER COMPATIBLE DC Gear Motor/Brake measures just 2.25” (max) Diameter, by 9.0” long, and has a keyed output shaft of 12 mm diameter by 25 mm long. Features include:

  • 4 “face mount” M5 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 40 mm Dia. B.C.
  • An output rating of 215 in. lbs. of continuous torque, at 10 RPM, and 443 in. lbs. peak.
  • A weight of approximately 4 lbs.
  • 1.7 Amps at 24 Volts DC to generate its Full Load Torque.
  • Motor windings for 12, 36, 48, 60 & 90 V are available.
  • An integral FAILSAFE Brake, capable of 5 in. lbs. of holding torque.
  • An Optical Encoder, available from Stock with resolutions of 32, 100, 250, 500, 1000 and 1024 ppr.
  • An “IP 54” protection level for operation in harsh environments.
  • Variable Speed can be accomplished with fully compatible Speed Controls, Model MMP 25 A-24 V, or MMP 20 A-24 V-RSP.
