Low-voltage Servo Motors

The BLT-040 Series of low-voltage brushless servo motors measures 41 x 112 mm. Construction is IP 65 and all motors come with a built-in high-resolution encoder (2000 line typical) as standard. The new BLT-040 LV motor series has winding options for 12, 24, and 48 VDC operation. When mated to new ACS200 low-voltage, all-digital servo amplifiers, the BLT-040 can produce up to 0.28 Nm (2.5 in.-lb) of rated torque at up to 3,000 rpm, while peak stall torque can be as high as 1.2 Nm (10.6 in.-lb). No load speed from 48 VDC is more than 5,000 rpm. The matching ACS200 Series low-voltage, all-digital, brushless AC servo amplifiers uses a DSP-based architecture to provide software selectable torque, velocity, or position mode operation. Sine wave commutation using the BLT-040’s high-resolution encoder provides smooth torque at low speeds for demanding motion control requirements found in medical robotic, direct drive, and linear motor applications.
