Low-profile Sockets

Used to interconnect two or more parallel circuit boards, the new 834/835 Series of Organic Fibre Plug Pass Thru Sockets is designed for hand, wave, or reflow soldering. The high-temperature insulator is compatible with all soldering processes, and socket barriers prevent solder, paste, or flux from contaminating the internal spring contacts. After soldering, the barriers are pushed out of the socket when the mating header is inserted

The sockets, which have a 0.13 in. profile, accept 0.03 in. round pin headers and industry standard 0.025 in. square pin headers. In addition, they use a precision-machined brass sleeve with a press-fit beryllium copper "multi-finger" spring contact.

Pricing is $0.435 each in quantities of 1,000.
