Bedminster, NJ – Cimquest announces the national availability of the new, desktop uPrint Personal 3D Printer, priced at just $14,900 to make 3D model creation more affordable and accessible.

With a desktop footprint of 24 x 26-inches, the uPrint makes 3D model creation immediate and more convenient, and features an 8 x 6 x 6-inch build envelope. The new desktop machine enables the user to build 3D models in durable ABSplus for functional testing under real-world conditions.

The stronger ABSplus material - on average 40 per cent stronger than standard ABS material - enables designers to create and evaluate product concepts for form, fit and function: everything from ergonomics to manufacturing processes.

''The uPrint really revolutionizes 3D model printing because it cuts out waiting for your design to get through a printing queue, or time wasted waiting for it to arrive from an outside vendor,'' reports Vicky Barile, business development manager at Cimquest, Inc.

''Producing a 3D model ready for testing is a far more powerful way of presenting ideas than a simple flat drawing and the low cost of the uPrint will enable designers to incorporate 3D printing into their everyday work routine.''

Barile adds, ''As a national, level one VAR for Stratasys, Cimquest is able to support customers across North America with the uPrint and all of the other high-end FDM systems.''
