Locking Hubs

Adjustable locking hubs are available in lightweight plastic, and are designed to allow engineers to achieve versatility in designs for adjusting, reclining, or folding.

The hubs are engineered so that they lock securely in place, but adjust with push button activation. They are described as containing an extremely strong, stainless locking hinge that withstands 17 ft/lbs of torque. Compatible with 5/8 in. ID tubing, the hubs engage at 15-degree increments. The hubs are suitable for a variety of applications such as wheelchair leg rest adjusters, flip up workstations for vehicles where space constraints or safety demands it, medical applications that allow the operator to change the angle of operation, rotating fixtures, welding fixtures, adjustable part trays and shelves, positive positioning of spotlights or nozzles, and collapsible structures.
