Linear Encoder (2331)

Model MT-M linear encoder is available in measuring lengths from 1 in to 120 in for use in motion-control applications requiring economy and smaller size. The encoder is supplied in either standard or special OEM-specified designs that can be configured for a range of motion-control applications, including medical instrumentation, patient handling systems, packaging equipment, print inspection devices, and fluid handling robots. The encoder is available with a variety of mounting and cable connector options.

The mini series of linear encoders is designed for benign environmental conditions where lower resolution, economy, and smaller size are required. Optical sensing technology and a stainless steel scale in the MT-M encoder is intended to provide 0.0006 in resolution with an incremental 5 V TTL quadrature output. It offers an optical LED and detector IC that slide into an aluminum housing with 1 in by 0.75 in cross-sectional dimensions.
