The new sensorless drives feature a PWM frequency of 56 k for cool motor operation.



Koford Engineering LLC (Winchester, OH) has introduced a new line of compact high efficiency sensorless drives for operation for 12 to 60 volt applications, with current up to 5 amps. Features include:

  • An efficiency up to 99 percent.
  • A PWM frequency of 56 k for cool motor operation. 
  • Can operate low inductance slotless motors without requiring any external inductance.  Open loop, and digital closed loop versions are available. 
  • Tach and phase current output signals are also available. 
  • Can be operated in stand alone mode, or controlled by a 0-5 V voltage or 5 V pwm input.
