Integrated Motion Controllers

Motion Server Block controllers combine key machine control functions to provide an all-in-one solution to motion control.

Multiple communication channels, industrial networking, opto-isolated power I/O, and terminal block interconnect are combined with a powerful multi-axis mixed motor-type controller with advanced programming capabilities. The compact, DIN-rail-mounted unit requires only slightly more space than a passive terminal block. It can be used with conventional PCs, low-slot/no-slot flat panel PCs, or as a standalone in motion system design and system integration. Units control up to 10 motors in independent, coordinated groups, running as many as 12 high-speed, real-time, on-board application programs concurrently. A 128 MHz, 32-bit processor with 80-bit floating point hardware provides the power for multi-axis coordination and kinematic models.

Servo Application Workbench provides a graphical Windows-based environment for machine control development. Diagnostic programs give designers a dynamic view of machine behavior during operation, maintenance programs can update controller firmware and applications over a communication cable, and run-time programs provide a graphical HMI for machine operation.
