Industrial Mass Flow Controller

The new Max-Trak Model 180 industrial mass flow controller for gases is NEMA 6 (IP67) compliant. The device is well suited for applications where frequent washdown or hose-down is required, such as chemical processing, pharmaceutical, biotech, and food and beverage. Thanks to its fully enclosed valve design, the Model 180 mass flow controller minimizes leak-in paths for enhanced protection. Measuring 5.25 x 2 in., the standard device measures and controls gas mass flow rates from 0 to 200 slpm. However, engineers can also choose customized devices that measure and control rates up to 400 slpm. An accuracy of ۫ percent of full scale and a repeatability of ۪.2 percent of full scale ensure process stability in changing conditions. The Model 180, which is based on the manufacturer’s Smart-Trak series of mass flow controllers, features Dial-A-Gas technology. This technology allows engineers to select from up to 10 gases in one instrument. Additional features of the Model 180 mass flow controller include digital and analog communication, 50:1 turndown, standard terminal strip, and the ability to operate at low differential pressures. Furthermore, engineers can view and change critical parameters in the field without sacrificing performance or returning the instrument to a service center. This stainless steel flow path (with electrometric seals to eliminate leaks) is suitable for any clean gas, including corrosives and toxics.
