At booth 1554, Universal Flow Monitors Inc. will display larger sizes of its CoolPoint vortex shedding flowmeter, which is designed for measuring and monitoring higher velocities of water and coolant. The CoolPoint meter is offered in two new pipe sizes: 3 in., which provides a flow rate of 300 gal/min, and 4 in., which has a flow rate of 600 gal/min. These larger sizes join the CoolPoint line, which also includes pipe sizes ranging from 1/4 to 2 in. and provides flow rates ranging from 0.4 to 200 gal.min. CoolPoint flowmeters are designed to provide consistent flows of water, water-based machine coolant, and water/glycol mixture. Repeatability is ۫ percent of actual flow, and accuracy is ۬ percent of actual flow. This high repeatability and accuracy provide consistency in cooling loops using low viscosity, clean or dirty water-like liquids compatible with brass, PVDF, and Viton.
