Helical’s machined springs offer no internal stresses to overcome before deflection occurs.

Helical Products Company’s (Santa Maria, CA) “machined” springs can provide linear deflection rates. Unlike traditional wire wound springs, virtually all residual stresses are absent. Helical’s machined springs offer:

  • No internal stresses to overcome before deflection occurs.
  • All coils that deflect under load.
  • Redundant elastic elements, should a failure occur, but a failed element (coil) will be physically trapped by a second coil, (or multiple coils).
  • No tendency to squirm when deflected and no restraint is required to resolve the free moment.
  • Increased parallelism accuracy.
  • Guaranteed perpendicularity, parallelism, lateral bending, axial and torsional rates.
