The combination Micro-SD and SIM connector offers a sealed construction that doesn’t allow the ingress of moisture or dust.

Global Connector Technology (Medway, MA) is launching a new combination Micro-SD and SIM connector. Engineers designing for high vibration environments will value the MES3055 hinged connector which allows full retention of both the SIM and µSD cards in demanding handheld and mobile applications. The connector also offers:

  • A sealed construction that doesn’t allow the ingress of moisture or dust.
  • Full qualification to relevant MIL and EIA standards.
  • A 50G shock resistance without loss of electrical connectivity.
  • Tape-and-reel packaging for volume manufacturing.
  • Excellent coplanarity of +/-0.05 mm while withstanding IR reflow at temperatures up to 260°C.
