Flexible Resolution Digitizer

The PXI-5922 digitizer is a universal instrument for dynamic measurements with flexible resolution capability along with a high dynamic range. The flexible resolution digitizer can trade sample speed for resolution and vice versa. For example, at 15 Msec/sec, it delivers 16 bits of resolution for IF and I/Q baseband digitization. Reducing the sample rate, the same module delivers 24 bits of resolution and more than𤩨 dBc typical SFDR. Noise density can be as low as -170 dBFS/Hz. The module can be used with the LabView graphical development environment to create numerous types of instruments, such as AC voltmeters, audio analyzers, frequency counters, spectrum analyzers, or I/Q modulation analyzers, which often exceed the measurement performance of high-end traditional instruments with similar functionality.
