Engineered For Under The Hood

A new base metal electrode system, the BME system boasts soft terminations designed to improve the temperature cycling performance of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) and to reduce failures associated with mechanical flexure. Applications include harsh automotive areas especially within the engine compartment. MLCCs with a soft termination layer are said to perform two-and-a-half times better than components without soft terminations.
