Encoder Unit

The HS25 hollow-shaft encoder, with an outside diameter of 2.5 in., is designed to accommodate standard motor shafts of 5/8 in. in diameter. It is rugged and sealed for industrial environments, and carries an environmental rating of NEMA 4 and IP65. Operation up to 85°C is available, along with special options that allow installation on shafts up to 3/4 in.

The HS25 is engineered using an anti-rotation tether mount called the Slot-Blok. This tether block-and-pin is intended to provide simpler and more reliable installation than the more conventional tether-arm bracket.

The unit is suitable for use with heavy-duty industrial motors, as well as space-critical applications in the machine vision, robotics, packaging, web control, and machine tool industries.
