Encapsulated Dc/dc Converter Delivers 500w

Also suitable for operation in mining, oil rigs, military, industrial and other transportation environments.

Absopulse Electronics’ RWY 65 series fully encapsulated dc/dc converter uses field-proven topology to generate 500W output power from a compact 153 x 72 x 269mm enclosure.

RWY 65 is suitable for extrmeme environments such as mining, military, oil rigs and transportation.

Absopulse Electronics’ RWY 65 series fully encapsulated dc/dc converter uses field-proven topology to generate 500W output power from a compact 153 x 72 x 269mm enclosure.

Originally designed to meet the stringent standards stipulated in EN50155 for electronic equipment used on railway rolling stock, the RWY 65 is also suitable for operation in other extreme environments including industrial, mining, military, oil rigs and transportation. As this converter is filtered to meet EN55022 Class B and EN50121-3-2, conducted and radiated, it can be used in EMI sensitive applications.

The RWY 65 is entirely potted with a thermally conductive MIL-spec. silicon rubber compound with UL94V-0 flammability rating. Conduction cooled, it is rated for operation over a -40 to +70C cold-plate temperature range without derating.

This 500W unit delivers standard outputs of 12V, 24V, 36V, 48V or 110Vdc and can be operated from 48Vdc (29 - 67V), 72Vdc (43 - 101V), 96Vdc or 110Vdc (66 - 154V) supply voltages. Other input and output voltages are available on request. The unit features 3kVdc input to output isolation, full electronic protection and up to 90% efficiency, depending on input/output configuration.
