Embedded Software

P10 and VG10 Series AC drives: embedded Programmable Application Software (PAS) modules operates in the drives' internal flash memory, enabling customers to augment their application solutions with special logic function, customized displays and reconfigured I/Os, with out the cost and inconvenience of add-ons such as PLCs, which require external mounting, wiring and added space. Typical applications that can benefit from PAS software enhancement include high-speed spindle drives, winder applications, master/followers, crane and hoist controls, single- to quad-pump controllers, special HVAC functions, drive communications and multi-drive torque sharing such as high-HP multi-drive conveyor systems.

The PAS can set up complex internal drive sequences. When a start command is received, the drive will accelerate to a speed, maintain that speed for a set time, then accelerate to a new speed for a set time, then reverse direction at a set speed for a time, and then stop. Using the PAS to create custom GP10/VG10 drive displays, users can convert standard display data such as amps, volts and frequency, into more meaningful units of measurement.
