Electronic Housings

The new Building Case (BC) electronic housing system features uniform compact height and allows a variety of PC board-design options in mounting, component height, networking, and termination. The system was designed primarily for the building automation industry, where control manufacturers frequently encounter limited panel depth, but the flexibility of the housings make them useful in other industries, such as instrumentation and industrial control manufacturing, where users face similar space constraints. The BC housings allow vertical, horizontal, or lengthwise PC board-mounting. With modification, the housings can be mounted on a panel or wall instead of a DIN-rail. The system is compatible with various types of terminal blocks and standard data connections, such as D-SUBs and RJ45s. The user can choose between a clear, hinged cover, which provides user interaction, or a captive, snap-in cover the same color as the housing.
