Allied Motion Technologies introduces its DAA series Dual Drive gearmotors. These rugged gearmotors are specifically designed for battery powered medical mobility and utility vehicles such as power wheelchairs, patient beds, hospital cart pushers, and similar applications where zero turn radius maneuvering is required or beneficial.

In addition to medical mobility service, the DDA series are an excellent choice for many utility vehicle applications, such as material handling carts, floor care equipment, AGVs, and light construction or commercial lawn care equipment.

According to the company, the compact, dependable DDA dual drive features:

• 3-5/8” diameter PMDC brush motors with a choice of winding voltage from 12 up to 240 VDC.
• Rating of up to 3/8 HP continuous output power
• An integrated electro-magnetic holding brake with manual release.
• High-quality components, including a precision ground worm, nitrile seals and permanently lubricated bearings in a rugged cast aluminum gearhead, insure dependable, quiet operation and long life under high load.
• Availability for the DDA include class H motor winding insulation, weather-proof (IP65) design, and custom leads and connectors.
