Avnet Electronics (Phoenix, AZ) recently unveiled the Intel® Desktop Board D945GCLF2-based Convenience Kit. The new kit features a Dual-Core Intel® Atom processor, which provides design and development support for use with embedded applications. The new board builds upon the capabilities offered by the Intel Desktop Board D945GCLF-based Convenience Kit and offers engineers the ability to rapidly write and test software around an Intel embedded architecture platform. Designed for use with embedded medical, factory automation, kiosk and instrumentation applications, the new kit allows designers to quickly implement a board-level Intel Atom processor-based design within their applications.
