The new WTR 2.5 disconnect terminal is designed to allow engineers to quickly and easily check continuity, test voltage, and distribute power. The terminal accepts pluggable jumpers in an effort to reduce installation and maintenance time. Rather than screwing jumpers to each terminal block, engineers can plug multiple poles in place by pressing the back of the insulation sleeve. Disconnection is facilitated either by the supplied lever or the separately ordered, pull-pin (TNST). To take equipment totally off-line for maintenance or repair purposes, engineers can remove the disconnect. The lever, which is said to be small in size, conforms to the standard profile used in the standard portfolio of tension, IDC, and push-in disconnect terminals. One line of accessories works with each version of the multiple terminal block technology series. For example, the fuse holder SIHA can be used to create a fuse terminal. The component plug holder (BEST) converts the WTR into a component holder, allowing diodes and resistors to be soldered in place. In addition, the integrated test sockets allow engineers to use 2.3-mm banana plugs for continuity, voltage, and current tests to ensure high-quality readings.
