Dc-dc Power Converter

Eagle dc-dc power converters are available in the new industry standard eighth brick package. They deliver currents of 25 amps at efficiencies as high as 91 percent.

The single-output converters have a power density of 93 watts per cubic inch and can handle input voltages across a wide input range from 36 to 75 Vdc in accordance with ETSI and Bellcore specifications.

Measuring 0.9 in. long x 2.3 in. wide, the modules are a direct plug-in to existing quarter brick applications. Furthermore, a low profile of 0.39 in. makes them suitable for tight card pitch requirements while minimizing airflow shadowing and enhancing cooling for downstream devices.

The converters come with industry standard features such as remote on/off, remote sensing, output voltage adjust pin, over-temperature protection, output over-current and over-voltage protection, and input under-voltage protection. Additional features include self-contained bias circuitry that eliminates race conditions, no minimum load requirements, constant frequency operation for predictable EMI characteristics, tightly regulated outputs, low ripple and noise, and auto restart after fault shutdown.

There are 5, 3.3, 2.5, 1.8, 1.5, and 1.2 V output voltage modules. Samples are available.
