Current-sense Transformers

The SPCT-250 and SPCT-251 printed circuit mount current-sense transformers for instrumentation applications have outputs that vary based on the termination or loading resistor on the secondary winding. With an input current ranging from 0-20 A, output voltage tolerances vary slightly based on the loading resistor but typically fall in the 3 to 8 percent range.

Constructed with commonly used laminations and a three-flange bobbin, the units have an open section within the window area to allow up to a 0.16-in. diameter, insulated conductor. Typical dimensions are 1 x 0.92 x 8.825 in.

Prices for production quantities of the SPCT-250 and SPCT-251 are $1.75 and $2.21, respectively.
